Chemistry – Research Scientist

ActivX Biosciences seeks a talented, motivated Organic/Medicinal Chemist to join our drug discovery team. The researcher will participate in hit-to-lead and lead optimization processes in an interdisciplinary team to make contributions to ActivX’s drug discovery programs. Together, we will make new medicines for patients worldwide.

ActivX is in the Torrey Pines Science Park complex in La Jolla, California. Research at ActivX is focused on drug discovery in the therapeutic areas of viral infection, metabolic and inflammatory diseases. Our proprietary KiNativ™ technology is used extensively internally and also provides profiling services, on a fee-for-service basis, to most major pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Our technology allows the identification and development of highly selective drugs, significantly lowering development risks.

A successful candidate will have extensive training in synthetic organic chemistry, with a good understanding of medicinal chemistry principles.
